What Is Mantrailing?
ManTrailing is rooted in Search and Rescue work, where dogs learn to locate a specific missing person using their incredible sense of smell. In our workshops, we teach you and your pet dog to do this safely, playfully, and just for fun.
Here’s how it works:
Your dog is given a scent item (like a glove or hat) from the “runner” they’ll search for. Wearing a harness and working on a long line, your dog uses their nose to follow that scent trail until they find the hidden person — and then they get a BIG celebration.
ManTrailing is:
Low impact (walking only)
Mentally fulfilling
Great for building confidence
Suitable for all breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments
And yes… reactive dogs are welcome.
In fact - ENCOURAGED!
You will be amazed to see what unlocking your dog’s nose will do for their confidence.
We choose locations carefully so they can work safely and successfully without added pressure.
